I’m delighted to introduce my friend and talented author, Yvette M. Calleiro, and her soon-to-be-released, The One Redeemed. Yvette’s epic saga, the Diasodz Series, captivated me with her inspired world-building and wonderful characters. This new book, Drakes’s story, is sure to add richness and depth to an already excellent series. The Chronicles of the Diasodz Series

When I first dreamed about the Diasodz world, I thought it would be a trilogy. It has become so much more than that. With the final novel now released, I thought we’d take a journey through the series for those who haven’t read the books yet.

The One Redeemed truly should be read last as it is the culminating book. It can be read as a standalone since his journey revisits his past, but the impact of those moments may not have the same effect if you aren’t invested in the characters.

Here is the order in which I would recommend the stories. I’ve provided the links so you can explore the book blurbs and read the reviews.

The One Chosen: A Diasodz Short Story

This is a short story that explains how the love triangle between Drake, Valerie, and Nolan began. It sets the stage for all the chaos that comes later.

The One Discovered

This begins the story of Ar’ch and Angel coming to Earth to retrieve Sofia. It is permanently free on Amazon.

The One Enlightened

This book explores Caelagios and begins Sofia’s training to become a Diasodz. We meet Valerie and Nolan and learn more of their backstory in this book.

The One Betrayed

This book runs parallel to The One Enlightened but follows Rafe’s journey. It also tells Damiana’s and Drake’s backstory.

The One Revealed

Sofia’s life is put in danger, and the boys must work together if she is to be saved. Damiana is building her power and gathering her forces to destroy her enemies once and for all.

The One Awakened

The final battle has begun. Sofia must choose which side of her family to save and who she is willing to lose.

The One Redeemed

And finally, Drake’s story! His story is one of reflection, regret, and redemption. Even the antagonists deserve a chance to redeem themselves, don’t they?

I hope you will dive into my world of Diasodz. I have no doubt you will thoroughly enjoy the journey.

Author Bio:

Yvette M. Calleiro is the author of the Chronicles of the Diasodz fantasy series, HYPE, and a couple of short stories. As a heavily addicted reader of both young adult and adult novels, she spends most of her time pseudo-living in paranormal worlds with her fictional friends (and boyfriends).

When she’s living among real people, Yvette M. Calleiro is a middle school Reading and Language Arts teacher. She’s been sharing her love of literature with her students for over twenty years. Besides writing about the various characters that whisper (and sometimes scream) in her head, she enjoys traveling, watching movies, spending quality time with family and friends, and enjoying the beauty of the ocean.

Although an avid traveler, Yvette lives in Miami, Florida, with her incredible son who has embraced her love for paranormal and adventurous stories. She also shares her space with an assortment of crazy saltwater animals in her 300-gallon tank.

What’s it like being a published author?

As a younger avid reader, I figured I’d be too busy reading for the rest of my life to ever write a book. After all, there are so MANY books to read, and so little time! God had other plans, and here I am with a second series published, much to my own astonishment.

I’ve had the honor of being interviewed by AllAuthor, an organization in which I have a lot of confidence. They’re a great resource for authors and I highly recommend them.

Have you ever wanted…

Growing up without a television fueled my love of reading. I had no electronics to occupy my downtime between homework and supper, or when I wasn’t adventuring elsewhere. Books transported me into new worlds, filled my head with dreams and my heart with longings. 

Books like Black Beauty, National Velvet, and My Friend Flicka, awoke a terrible yearning in me to have a horse of my own. I wasted no thought on the practicality of caring for, housing, and transporting one from place to place as my dad moved our family to wherever the Army sent him. Horses became my obsession. 

Until Anne McAffrey’s Dragon Riders of Pern changed everything. I needed a dragon. One who communicated with me, understood me, empathized with me, and took me flying anytime I wanted to escape. As time passed and I matured (and not always willingly, I might add), the impossible dream faded. Rather, life, marriage, jobs, and kids of my own trampled it into the unyielding ground of reality. 

As the kids grew lives of their own and pandemonium settled into the background, reality became less rigid. If I couldn’t have a dragon, I could certainly give life to the one I’ve wanted for so many long years. 

What if Gabri, a character from the Tetrasphere series who refused to grow up quietly, found herself in an impossible situation? What if a baby dragon longed for her person as I had once longed for a dragon? Would magic happen if the two found each other?
