My Friend’s Feathered Dragons

I will always believe these birds chose Karen Black as their new Budgie-Mama, and when you read how it happened, you’ll believe it, too. More than ever, I’m convinced we humans have a unique ability to bond with creatures of other species, and they with us. Maybe you or someone you know has a beloved fur baby, feathered friend, or other critter — finned, scaled, winged, or otherwise clothed in something not human. The connection is real. The love is real. Perhaps there is a world where sentient, friendly dragons are also real. One can only hope.

  1. Thank you for sharing the feathered dragons’ story. I haven’t figured out the reason they chose to land here, but I’m hoping they’ll tell me one of these days.
