As per the calendar on our wall, August 16, 2020 at 11:59 PM CT is the final moment of our 5th Annual Writers’ Conference & Book Expo. That is today.

But, don’t cry, it’s really not the end! At least not yet. C’mon, everyone dry those tears.

Saying that we’ve had a marvelous time this year would be a real understatement. If I must say so myself, we outdid ourselves this year. With all the negative baggage from years past no longer weighing us down, we pulled off the absolute BEST EVENT we’ve ever had in RRBC history! And although I worked my tail off to make this event extra-fabulous, it was only amazing because you showed up and you showed the world what the RRBC spirit looks like when it’s pulled together! “Never underestimate the power of a few small hands.” WE DID THIS! You and Me!

If you haven’t made it to all the booths to leave your comments, if you haven’t purchased your RAFFLE TICKETS, and if you haven’t gotten in your FOF guesses or Scavenger Hunt clues, the window to be included in the prize drawings for these, is tonight by 11:00 PM CT.

Because the Author Booths are still extra busy, and because some of you (myself included) haven’t had time to watch all of the Author Readings and all of the fun FACT OR FICTION video clips, we will be leaving the doors open another week just so that we can take it all in! The doors will remain open until Monday, August 24th, 11:59 PM CT.

I can’t tell you how proud I am of our amazing membership! You guys really impressed during this conference like never before! Thank you for all that you did, for the time spent, for the engagement … and for simply showing up to support your own.

At one point, I wondered, “How in the world am I going to get all of this done – get these videos prepped and uploaded and all of the other things that need to be done,” that I’d never had to do before. But, they say that you never know how strong you are until you have to be and look what happened – everything was done and done even better than it’s ever been done before! How about that?!!!

Now, it’s time to get back to the real business of building the most amazing authors in the history of literature! If your name is on the RRBC and RWISA rosters – you are well on your way!
